
Embarking on a leadership role in a Taiwanese workplace, navigating language barriers and cultural differences to improve F&B industry expertise, language abilities, and team cooperation.
In March 2022, I joined the Nigiri section of Kura Sushi Zhongli Station Branch. After training and demonstrating dedication, I was promoted to Nigiri section leader in July 2022, responsible for section and food management. As my competence grew, I was entrusted with the role of total shift leader from January 2023, overseeing process efficiency, labor and product management, revenue forecasting, and problem-solving.
Working in a Taiwanese workplace with a predominantly local team and communicating in Chinese, a language I was not very familiar with, was a big challenge. However, this journey not only offered opportunities to improve my ability in the F&B industry but also allowed me to enhance my language abilities and cooperation skills within a Taiwanese corporation.
